Heart-World is an initiative by artist Petra Hart that emerged from her art practice in 2001. What began with Fam.Li grew into Heart-World: a world of art, characters and projects that also became connected to a social purpose. Friend.Li later emerged from this as well.
Part of the proceeds from artworks, portraits and commissions was used to support small-scale initiatives. Over the years, Heart-World has focused primarily on children, education and nature.
Education came to play an important role within Heart-World, not only through financial support but also through practical contributions that created opportunities for children to attend school, learn and develop further.
Over the years, various collaborations and projects developed, including in Cambodia and other parts of the world. The sale of art made it possible to contribute directly to local initiatives.
In this way, Heart-World grew alongside Petra Hart’s art practice: not as a separate art series, but as the social strand that has been connected to Fam.Li and Friend.Li from the beginning.
