2015 Serving Treasures of Nature

Serving Treasures of Nature was developed alongside Preserving Treasures of Nature, bringing together art, nature and human connection.

In my studio, I hosted dinners in which insects were part of the menu. Conversations extended beyond art to topics such as biodiversity, sustainability, food production and the future of our food supply.

The dinners became an extension of the artworks. Visitors experienced insects not only as natural specimens but also as a starting point for new conversations and different perspectives.

Following a significant event in my studio, I decided to conclude both Preserving Treasures of Nature and Serving Treasures of Nature.

More about this art series can be found in the artist’s book True Blue.
