Santiago Calatrava the organic architect who finds his inspiration in the human body and in nature. Calatrava learned through his father the fact that people can be very clever and do very good business, but being an artist is a superior thing. When he and his father visited La Longja, Valencia’s Silk Exchange and later on the Notre Dame in Paris in the morning when the sun was entering through the south rose window he realized he wanted to become an architect. He said: “This is when architecture can be king and give people sensations, like music.” The City of Arts and Sciences is an entertainment-based cultural and architectural complex.
