She visits the Maya-temples in Palenque, Tikal an Chichén Itzá. In Cancun she enjoys the white beaches, the Caribbean Sea and the breathtaking sunsets. She has a thing for Egypt as well. The pyramids of Giza near Cairo. And the excavations in Luxor.
With part of the proceeds from Abira's artworks and products, Heart-World supports the charity Long Way Home Guatemala. Their mission is to use sustainable design and materials to construct self-sufficient schools that promote education, employment and environmental stewardship. Their vision is to empower communities to break the cycle of poverty through innovative solutions to local challenges.
