Freedom

Freedom was created during the lockdown, at a time when freedom of movement and social contact were suddenly severely restricted.

The work is made of white diffused acrylic with magenta fluorescent acrylic on the back. Four individual LED light sources can be adjusted in color and in a slow color transition, causing the appearance of the work to continually change.

The title refers to freedom as something that can seem self-evident until it is temporarily restricted. Light, color and space make that changing experience visible.
