With Glowing Edges, I continued my research into light, time, space and the electromagnetic spectrum.
Visible light (RGB) forms the starting point for an exploration of perception and the relationship between light and landscape.
Glowing Edges is accompanied by a video and QR code referring to carefully selected images and locations around the world. Together, they extend the artwork beyond its physical form and invite the viewer to look beyond what is visible to the human eye.
During a live intervention, I applied camera light painting to Glowing Edges. By moving my camera during the exposure, I created abstract light trails in which the light installation took on a new appearance. This photographic intervention resulted in a series of 28 works, produced as lambda prints.
The moving circles of light resembled tubes in space. By drawing these traces three-dimensionally, I developed Solid Light Beam: a sculpture in which temporary light acquired a fixed spatial form.
