Solid Light Beam #1
Description
Solid Light Beam #1 emerged from the Camera Light Drawings within the art series Glowing Edges. A temporary trace of light was developed in three dimensions and translated into a fixed sculptural form.
The red line is 3D-printed and finished with glossy automotive paint. It rests on a matte pigeon blue pedestal. The static form refers to movement and to a moment that would normally disappear immediately - a fraction of a second in which everything changes.
The color of the pedestal is not incidental. Pigeon blue refers to a personal memory and connects the temporary image of light with something that has been fixed in place.
