Glowing Edges
Description
Glowing Edges is made of glossy dark blue powder-coated metal. Eleven circles are cut into the surface and illuminated from behind with colored LED lighting. The work is fitted with a dimmer.
The tilted form refers to the tilt of the Earth. The eleven light circles refer to geographic coordinates on Earth and to the movement of the sun between the tropics and the equator.
The work comes with a QR code that refers to images of locations around these coordinates. These images draw attention to the successive light radiation that repeatedly reaches these specific places on Earth.
