Description
This light work of art is made of shiny dark blue powder coated metal. The 2mm lasered circles light up in yellow, green, blue, magenta, red and purple LED light. The work of art is equipped with a dimmer. The oblique shape of this luminous work of art symbolizes the tilt of the earth (because of this the sun is always perpendicular to the earth once a year between the tropics and twice a year to the equator). The 11 glowing colored circles are geographic coordinates on Earth that are numerically fixed.

Glowing edges comes with a QR code for reference. It shows internet images (free images of Pixabay and Wikimedia Commons as well as some reference images from Google Earth) sorted by locations between the coordinates. In a radius of 1000 km it shows the possible consequences of the radiation force on Earth when the sun is perpendicular to the equator or to the tropics. The repetitive nature of perpendicular solar radiation, which is the strongest, is leaving its mark on the Earth. The work of art is part of the art series Glowing edges. More information
